I’ll just go ahead and admit that Henrike’s opinion on that song is very much my own opinion. What is that guy doing? Shouldn’t he, I don’t know, stay with his girlfriend? She’s probably still crying and not saying “Hey, boyfriend who never fights, could you please go and pick a fight with those three guys? Sorry if they end up killing you or something, but you know, sometimes you gotta fight when you’re a man.”

On the other hand, it’s a song – it’s a story. Kenny Rogers is most likely not trying to educate people by telling that little story.  😉
